Balady is all about excellence in the world of food

Our History

Attracting tourists, coach parties and locals since 1959, Balady is an institution that can deliver a reliable, if not wildly delicious, meal with good service.

A bizarre jungle theme rules the decor, but the food is straight-down-the-line Egyptian and consistently decent, especially the fool and falafel.

What is our Falafel Making Process

One

If you're after the best texture and flavor, you need to start with dry chickpeas. Many falafel recipes use canned chickpeas which is not authentic and will cause the falafel patties disintegrate in the hot cooking oil.

Two

Falafel patties are packed with plant-power and protein from the chickpeas that will leave you feeling full and satisfied. My recipe also uses the perfect blend of spices --cumin, coriander, and a hit of cayenne--and fresh herbs to give them bold authentic flavor.

Three

Make ahead and freezer friendly. I love that this recipe can be prepped ahead of time, and you can freeze uncooked falafel patties for later use.

it offers good local food in terms of quality and also they are connected to the global food network called slow food..also the place is very spacious in a very good place in downtown, so it's also easy to reach.. but the prices are a bit high..just a bit
